Memphis Milano First Chair by Michele De Lucchi

The First chair designed by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano. This chair is an iconic and sculptural creation from 1983. The seems like De Lucchi is paying homage to Alexander Calder in the lightness and mobility of the forms and it's distinctive features. It stands out with the blue backrest and the two black spheres that act as armrests. The chair is made from a painted metal frame with lacquered wood elements.
