Laukaan Puu Finland Pirkka Coffee Table by Ilmari Tapiovaara

Pirkka coffee table designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara in the 1950s  and produced by Laukaan Puu in Finland. Part of the iconic Pirkka series, the design combines a solid pine top with a contrasting black lacquered wooden frame. It's a simple yet striking example of Scandinavian modern furniture. The table is stamped on the bottom with a makers-mark.

Finnish designer Tapiovaara (1914-1999) is considered one of the leading figures of mid-century Nordic design. Influenced by designers such as Alvar Aalto, his work focused on functional, accessible furniture inspired by traditional Finnish craftsmanship.

This table is in great condition with a few marks of usage which can be seen in the pictures.
