Artek 65 Chair by Alvar Aalto (Red)

Artek 65 dining chair designed by Alvar Aalto. Model 65 is the version with the lower backrest compared to Model 66 that has the same shape backrest but higher. This chair was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935. They're made in Finland from solid birch wood, with a veneered laminated backrest and linoleum seat. Alvar Aalto created a way to bend the wood by carving slits in them, curve them and then glue them again.

The chair has a dark red linoleum seat and is from the 1950s. It's in great condition with normal signs of wear as can be seen in the pictures.
